Fog enshrouds Burnley
Driving back home early on Friday morning I saw the fog.
It was wrapping itself around Pendle Hill obscuring the town of Burnley.
30 minutes earlier as I drove out of town the fog clouds were sparkling white in the sunshine. Now they were grey. Industrial pollution maybe?

Even bleaker in Burnley
The weather service said it was 1 degree C but felt like -5. And they were right! I stopped my car to take this, took one shot and my battery died so I was lucky to get this one.

Sandbags in Burnley
Although it might look a bit odd seeing these sandbags piled up outside the Tesco Store in Burnley, there is a large electricity sub-station there and the River Calder flows under the road. In fact you drive over it as you enter the Tesco car park and it’s been in full flow the last few days. So presumably someone knows what they’re doing here.
