Brits feel happier but not healthier

happy_face_smile_button_1600_wht_9149It’s official – we are feeling happier as the economy recovers, according to the Office of National Statistics (ONS).

The latest figures for 2012-13 show that 77% of us rated life satisfaction as medium or high, up from 75.9% in the previous year, the first year of the study.

Job satisfaction was down showing that just having a job is not enough. Household income rose to a median of £23,208 but fewer people were satisfied about that, only just over 52%.

Fewer people were satisfied with their health or the amount of leisure time they enjoyed.

I posted on this last year so not sure why the ONS have republished these figures now.
